January is National Glaucoma Awareness Month

Spokane WA Senior ManDid you know that more than two million Americans age 40 and older suffer from glaucoma? Nearly half do not know they have the disease since it causes no early symptoms. Glaucoma leads to blindness by damaging the optic nerve. Elevated pressure in the eye is a risk factor, but even people with normal pressure can lose vision to glaucoma.
