Part of Lupe’s Story

In the morning, I’ll be going to my friend Lupe’s memorial service. It will be interesting to hear the stories of her life. It seems so funny that this person that I knew for about ten years has many other aspects of her life that I didn’t even know about. Ten years seems like a long time but as we get older, we realize that our time on the face of this earth goes so quickly. I know that you can basically work side by side with someone and not really know them. Though, I think I knew Lupe’s real self… her contagious smile, her warm and open heart, her kind words. She was the queen of marketing give-aways! We always teased her that she could wrap a stick of gum in cellophane and ribbon and make it look like a million bucks!

She was a stabilizing force in our office. She was loved by all in the senior care industry. She loved to laugh and her laugh was contagious. She loved her family and her husband’s music. She loved to plan and throw a party and then was always the life of the party! She usually only had good things to say about everyone. She is leaving a big hole at home with her family and friends but she will also be missed deeply by her Home Instead Senior Care family.

May we have learned from and continue sharing Lupe’s spirit from the life she lived. You were loved and we will miss you Lupe!
