What do Seniors Like to Eat?

That was the question posed by a chef who was going to start cooking for some senior apartments. I thought it was kind of funny because everyone, at any age, has very different tastes AND people’s taste in food changes as they change. Well, I still won’t eat raisins but I will eat fruit in my salad which I never would have done 20 years ago!

So the answer relies more on where you were born, what your mother cooked for you as a child, who you married, and maybe how easily you gain weight!! Ha! If you were born Norwegian, you probably like a lot of fish and seafood. If your ancestry is Chinese, you probably enjoy rice, not potatoes. There is no one-size-fits-all menu for seniors anymore than there is for children.

But I’m pretty sure, the world round, EVERYONE at any age loves chocolate!
